We visited this agency twice in a row. The first night we were able to book a trip to Laguna 69 for the next day for the very reasonable price of 35 soles per person (minus park entrance fee). The next night we visited again and the nice and knowledgeable man working here organized a private taxi for us to go hiking the following morning. It took him all of 5 minutes and one phone call. We paid a very reasonable rate directly to the taxi driver, so Akilpo didnt even really benefit. Nice folks here!

On sunday I booked a tour to lake 69 for tuesday morning. They asured me to pick me up at my hostel at 5 am. After waiting 45 minutes in the cold without being pickend up I decided to cancel the trip. Very disapointing.

The equipment we rented was okay. Though, the information that was provided to about the Santa Cruz trek wasn?t correct. The guy told us we could camp everywhere along the route (which is not the case; you can get fined when not camping in a designated spot. On top of that, when we showed up at the store to return the rented equipment (and collect the drivers licence we left behind as a deposit) we found ourselves waiting for a closed venue (reason still unknown). Had to ask neighbours to call the owner, who then let us know we had to wait for a bit. No problem. Though after 1,5 hours of waiting outside and not receiving any updates we were quite fed up with it. In the end he didn?t show up at all and told us to handle this later. Therefore I would recommend going to another company when it comes to renting gear.
