We stayed at this hotel in august 2016. We had our luggage stored there for three days as we trusted it was in good hands. But no, we had several smaller items stolen fx ear rings, an iPhone cover, and an action camera. We have off course tried to contact the hotel but they keep silent. We would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. It is a horrible feeling to know that somebody has been searching around our things.

Exceptional Historic Hotel Originally built in about 1800 by Marquis Don Blas, the hotel was for a short time a national mint for coins - it is still known as the House of Coins. Replicas of old paintings and other art is hung in common areas throughout the hotel. Walls are sturdy stone masonry - it feels like a castle. A fantastic buffet breakfast in the morning with a harp player while you eat. If you eat in the dining room, a spiral staircase disappears through the floor - the kitchen is in the former mint room below. There is a reciprocal agreement with the Casa Andina near the square for hotel residents to use of their pool and gym - although both are small and a 10min walk north-east.
